i think i broke my toe,i stubbed it last night,very painfull and cant bend it or anything,taken co-codamol which has helped,i dont need to go for x-rays ,do I?????

If "broke my toe" meant the little bones, then no, your anticipated treatment would be fine. However....if you mean the larger bones....metatarsals then yes, you may need an X-Ray.

its the toe next to my pinkie toe,cant bend it,to painful,even to touch it,but its not black'n'blue,just swollen

Soak foot in cold/iced water. I think A&E may just tape pinkie & injured toe together using pinkie as a splint. Elevate foot where you can and take painkillers. If no improvement in a few days go to GP or A&E.

My foot slipped slightly over the kerb on a pavement abroad when wearing open sandals. Very very painful overnight. On arrival back in UK I went to A&E. I found out I had broken 5th metatarsal. They gave me a rubber boat to wear and over a period of weeks it got better.
doh. Rubber boot not boat!
