painters/decorators in Glasgow

ok, this might be a long shot, but does anyone out there know of a good (and reasonable) painter/decorator who would be able to paint the stairwell of a 3-storey tenemant in Dennistoun, Glasgow?

have you tryed yellow pages or look through the net?

yeah, well, obviously the Yellow Pages would be my first port of call, but I would prefer to have someone's personal recommendation. I just know that I'll go through the Yellow Pages and end up hiring some total dodgy b*stard who will do a crappy job and bleed me dry. As with all handymen, it's better to go with recommendations!
