zydeco version of Walk of Life
Does anyone remember a version of Dire Straits ,The Walk of Life in a zydeco style? I thought it was by someone called Zydeco Williams and I heard it on Andy Kershaw's radio show some time ago- early 90's maybe. Trying to find it somewhere!

This could be it...
The Andy Kershaw Show playlist for Monday 16 February 1998 features "Walk of Life" by legendary Cajun swamp pop singer Charles Mann.

Researching the Zydeco scene has led to much evidence of interbreeding... musically.
It is probably a safe bet to say that the majority of (modern) Zydeco musicians have played "Walk of Life", which would include a renowned family of that genre named Williams.
It is therefore possible that the version you heard was by Nathan Williams and The Zydeco Cha-Chas.
