"things never have been better under Labour" why did they win three consecutive elections in 1997, 2001 and 2005 ?
And why, if Labour were so unpopular, could Cameron not manage an outright victory in 2010 ? He had an open goal in the shape of Gordon Brown but he still needed the Liberals in order to form a Government.
To read what some people say here on AB, you could be forgiven to come away with the conclusion that the Tories have been in power for the last 100 years !
One last question. If Labour are so awful, why are they a clear 10 points ahead of the Tories in almost every opinion poll in the last 2 years ?
All this doesn't sound like a party that is so awful that nobody is going to vote for them does it ? We may argue about what the main parties may do in the future, and I suspect we will, but the historical record shows that Labour has won handsomely in the past and can do so again.

The only reason that Labour has an advantage is because their mass immigration policy is paying off, plus they have the support of the Unions, and they hand out money to those who will not work, as if it's gone out of date, but they never take into consideration how they are going to pay for it.
Yes they are bound to get support from those who they look after, for their own political purposes.

It may be possible to find cases of parties not just delivering to their own.
"One nation conservatism" is an example and the "Butskillism" of the 1950's.
Unfortunately the backwoodsmen in a political party make these policies hard to deliver.
I too shall not vote labour as Tony Blair's adventures in Iraq alienated many.
