Transfer Information From Mobile To A Computer

can any tell me how I can transfer from a Blackberry 900 mobile information like the contacts list and photo's to a computer. Any help much appreciated as due to poor eyesight madern manuals are very difficult for me to read.

Does it take a card (memory not SIM)?
If so, pop it out and put it in a card reader - the files should be there and it should just be a case of clicking/dragging them out.

Thanks Answerprancer but have no idea what a card reader is and where I would find it on my computer. The only things on a computer I am aware of - the CD and USB points
