Would braised onions freeze successfully.

I don't see why not, giveup....they freeze well before and a few minutes in the deep-freeze helps reduce the tear effect.
Do you have a lot? Perhaps you could freeze it and add it into whatever dish you'll be cooking, when it's almost finish cooking.

I have a load of small onions and I dont want to waste them. I often make braised onions which are delicious but have never tried freezing them. I know onions can be funny (not the fried ones I had tonight with a sirloin steak)but I'll give it a go .Its a shame to waste them.
I'd freeze them. Ive seen frozen onions selling at Costco.
fresh onions freeze well, just make sure they are welled thawed and cook immediately.
What is braised onions if they are not fried giveup?
