Thomson Hand Luggage Dimensions
Hi all, hoping someone can help...
I am travelling to the Caribbean with Thomson Airways on Wednesday. They state that hand luggage must not be more than 55 x 40 x 20. Most airlines (I believe) are 55 x 40 x 25.
My hand luggage is nearer the second measurement (24cm).
Am I likely to have to pay a surcharge as the bag is larger than allowed or will it be OK? I travel extensively on other airlines and haven't had a problem.
Many thanks

It's common, for example, for airlines using 737-800 aircraft [such as Ryanair] to have a 55 x 40 x 20 restriction. If you turn up with an over-sized bag you may be forced to have it placed in the hold (with the possibility of a hefty charge) or, if luggage loading has already been completed, to leave the bag behind.
