Dehydrated beef which concentrates flavour so it can be quite strong. Used originally as a preserving method. Can be seasoned. Also try biltong from South Africa using different spices. Can be made from almost any meat including exotic stuff.

Jerky fans swear by their favourite make and won't touch others.
