Why can no-one say the word vulnerable properly anymore, without pronouncing it vunrable?bring back the L!

it's just because the tongue positions for L and N are so close together that they tend to elide the L sound. English is full of letter sounds that have vanished even though the spelling shows them still there. Lamb. Featherstonehaugh. Tight.

yes but people were able to say vulnerable without any problems up until recently.it's almost as if they think vunrable is now the correct pronunciation.

I think people just do everything quicker these days, including talking. I still say it properly, but I am undoubtedly old and slow. I'm sure at some stage people were saying 'Hey, how come nobody pronounces the B at the end of lamb any more? They always used to'...
