Hi everyone. I was not sure where to post this, so i thought i would put it in here as this seems to be a "general category?"

My question is can anyone recommend a good hoover for pet hair?. I need a new one. My two dogs are malting and i would like to invest in a decent one that will last.

Hi- there was a thread on this a few weeks ago. I'll see if I can find it
Miele Cat and Dog.
I bought a Dyson, I think the model is number is the 24. It's specifically good at removing pet hair. I also bought it because it is a light-weight model, only just over 5kg if I remember rightly. There's a 5 year guarantee too, so it's not too bad for the price, low maintenance too, with just a monthly rinsing of the filters, though the beater bar is easily removed too, the amount of hair accumulated sometimes has to be cut off. However, I would not be without mine.

If you could find it factor-fiction that would be great. Thanks Ladybirder will google that x
Meile Cat and Dog, and I'll buy another one when this one goes. 3 moulting cats, it's excellent.
Factor, I'm amazed you haven't picked up on that....

There's tons of best Hoover posts on here. Just do a little search up the top.

That pun sucks, EvianBaby
Lol, that was totally unintentional.

Have you really not noticed the blatant adspammers on that link?
Oh wait, SUCKS! I'm so sloooowww.
Yes, EvianBaby- I reported what i was pretty certain was spam on the previous link but the posts remain so maybe I was mistaken
Loulou, I car valet, cheapest way, get a roll of sellotape, undo a length but do not cut it off the roll, just dab the dog / cars hairs, works a treat.
To add, I should have stated a wide roll.
twr - good answer - as my car inside is a disgrace with dog hairs.
Looked up Meile Cat and Dog in Argos - Gawd they dont come cheap at £279. I had a dyson some years ago - and I threw into a skip with the weight of it.

I have two Bissell hoovers - one for up and down stairs - and they are great for Mr harv's hairs - and only about £80 - will be my next hoover too - btw I can only use upright so didn't check price of cylinder.
I have had my Dyson hand held pet hair "hoover" for 5 years its marvellous [and light to hold] for any long haired dog/pet, also pine needles from the xmas tree, the car interior well anything really, you can buy a wall mounting to keep it charged up, pay the extra for the pet hair model, if there was a fire in our house I would go back for it !
