Canada - Toronto, Montreal, Ottowa, Niagara
Hi :)
I'm off to my little brother's wedding near Toronto in September. A load of us are going and making a holiday of it over 10 days. We will be based in Hamilton near Toronto.
We are hoping to do Niagara for a day before the wedding and explore Toronto and get in trips to Montreal and Ottowa at least afterwards. Probably day trips for all as we are staying in the hotel in Hamilton throughout.
Just looking for tips and ideas for anyone who knows that area on what to do and see, journey times, best ways to travel, costs etc...
I fly out Tuesday afternoon and the wedding is on the Saturday though my parents will be needed for the rehearsal the day before then fly back the following Thursday evening.
Very grateful for any suggestions :)

I did a very rushed Canada trip a few years ago. you must do Niagara, which is simply breath-taking.. although if you turn around it's a bit like a seaside resort with tacky shops! try to fit in the boat trip which goes behind the falls (it was closed while we were there), or a helicopter trip.
in Toronto, do the CN Tower. I'm not good with heights but you can't go there and not do it!

Because of the distances involved, I would suggest that the time between your arrival and the wedding be spent touring the Niagara and Toronto areas: there are many interesting places to visit. After the wedding then go to Montreal and Ottawa. Here is a train schedule for you. The name of your departing station is Aldershot, not Hamilton.

I went to Toronto for New Year 04/05. I had New Year's Eve dinner in the 360 Restaurant (so named because the restaurant revolves) at the top of the CN Tower.
Did a day trip to Niagara Falls and stopped off at a quaint little village called Niagara On The Lake.
Ruth's Chris is an amazing steak house in the centre of the city, if you like that sort of thing!
