The home secretary was oblidged to attend royal births .Wonder why ?Charles seemed to the first of the none appearance of the said home sec.

Would make more sense to have the Home Secretary present and witness conception!
That might have explained the sudden appearance of a "ginger" prince in the family, and had the "researchers" hunting back some 300 years for a red-haired Royal to explain it :)

Ye Duke of Edinburgh DNA I think is int he public domain as he was the maternal mt DNA relation that was used to identify [Czar] Nicholas II's remains. FInally since we are on the subject of royal DNA, the DNA of the fella who flew his airplane into a hill, showed that AIP (acute intermittent porphyria IS still present in Royal DNA ) but the reason why there are few skin manifestations is that it is a new mutation.
Henry 8 was a ginger. The current Ginger Prince and him seem to have a lot in common.
