Worlds population

A few years ago I was told that the entire Human population,if stood shoulder to shoulder,could fit on the Isle of Wight.

Is this still true? Or would the Isle of Man be needed!

apparently if all the chinese populace were to leave the ground at once, the americans would claim the territory.

or so i'm told.

same goes for all people in world leaving own countries to go to isle(s) of wight and jersey.

great for tourist trade in said isle(s) though, apart from need to demolish shops and cafes...

even the whole of the isle of wight doesnt fit on the isle of wight - its crumbling away into the sea at an alarming rate.

Hope it isnt true. Have you ever been there? Its like Dantes Inferno with double purgatory and no side salad. I spent a week there one afternoon, i stayed in a guest house with full board, only afterwards i found out that the board doubled for the bed it was the sort of place where you wiped your feet as you left. I should have realised what it woud be like after knocking on the door and saying to the landlady " Can i stop here?" to which she replied "you can stop there for me love" and shut the door in my face
