Skype On I Pad

I have successfully installed Skype on my I Pad 2 And received the confirmation e.mail and made the test call. All O.K.

The Skype icon has appeared on the Settings list, Though nothing happens when I tap it, beyond showing Sign in automatically and Go Offline. Sign in automatically is ON.

Now what? Do I have to tap in on something else? How do I log on to Skype in the first place in order to sign in ready to make a call?

I have been going round in circles for about an hour, trying to find the right FAQ on the Skype support pages.

Help!! Any hints gratefully received. Please point me in the right direction if you can.

Look in the top right hand corner for the plus symbol.

Click on it and you will get the option to search for a contact or add a contact.

Once you have a contact in Skype, you just click on kt to get the options of call or message.

Alternatively get someone to Skype you.

You want to open the Skype app itself as opposed to the settings, it will be on one of the home screens.
