Does anyone know? If channel 4 are to commission another series of max and paddys road to nowhere and if so when it is likely to be aired

If you look on the web, you can see a lot of people guessing that there won't be a second series.

I'd say, logically, that they wouldn't have released the fitness DVD if they had no plans for a second series, and the huge success of the fitness DVD (it's the best selling fitness DVD in the UK ever...) pretty much guarantees they'll make another one.
