A serious question, how will the wee pony take to the big dogs?
Question Author
sandyRoe, the dogs are actually quite a bit bigger than the horse, they will be fine together with a very careful and gentle introduction and close monitoring.
I admit, the words "stunning hunk" did go through my mind ;-)
what are your plans with the horses?
Question Author
pixie, of course lol! our plans are to use the horse with our other animals in "Animal Assisted Therapy" for the mentally and physically disabled.

See here, this is a company in the USA doing something similar. http://horse-therapy.org/
Sounds a perfect life to me. I'd thought you'd said that on previous threads. Just wanted to check. Which other animals will you get?
Question Author
Pixie, We will be getting Alpacas, a miniature donkey, pygmy goats, a few more rabbits and chickens, maybe sheep and pigs (for the table) Oh, we are considering a chinchilla, not all immediately, will have to spread it out a bit as we will be learning about these animals as we go, lots of courses coming up.
Whata fantastic thing to do though.I really wish you and your wife all the best with it. Will be very interested in updates as you go.
Question Author
Thank you Pixie, I'm sure we will be posting updates ;-)
If you should ever want to add two cats to the Zoo I have two charging. Around the flat as I type. Sound like a stampede.
Question Author
Thanks Wolf lol, we don't have cats, it will stay that way I think. We really are not into cats.

Hope all goes well for you all xx
How beautiful!
fabulous :)
She is gorgeous :o)

We went to Godstone Farm last summer and saw 2 tiny miniature pony's. They'd only been born a couple of days. I wanted to take one home :o)
Question Author
Sorry to be pedantic but they are horses not ponies:

"Miniature horses are found in many nations, particularly in Europe and the Americas. The designation of miniature horse is determined by the height of the animal, which, depending on the particular breed registry involved, is usually less than 34–38 inches (86–97 cm) as measured at the last hairs of the mane, which are found at the withers.[1][2] While miniature horses are the size of a very small pony, many retain horse characteristics and are considered "horses" by their respective registries. They have various colors and coat patterns."
