I have located the useful LOOKUP and MATCH functions
That create a list in my worksheet by looking up the category
of a cell in another sheet, then inserting the corresponding item.
But the column has empty cells (where there is no relevant item
in the source column).
Is there a formula to make Excel delete empty cells and move cells below
up, I.e. to make a continuous list with no gaps. I could do it manually but
I'm hoping to find something like 'if no ref then delete contents of this cell
and move cells below up one row'.
Sorry this is a bit convoluted I know!
