slow internet??

can anyone explain to me why my internet has been working reaaaaaaaaaally slowly since i restarted my computer with windows professional?? especially on msn, whenever people send me or i send them files it is reaaaaaaaaally slow, plus the webcam keeps crashing on it. can someone tell me what to do about it? i have used updated scans for virus' and spyware using Trend Micro PC Cillin Internet Security 2006 but it does not tell me that anythings wrong. i have also deleted my temporary internet files and cookies on the internet options menu window.

theres still a few things that can slip through the virus control, im not personally sure how to find them, and if you search the internet then all you get is loadsa crap links to people who tell you you do have spyware and that you need to pay them to remove it..

have you got the lastest windows updates? you need the windows firewall at least, or a better one from your internet supplier, that should stop any unwanted traffic going through..
