Certainly a well known association between PCOS and hair loss.

See your Dr to confirm, but Minoxidal can be given in certain situations.....have a word eh!
That`s a difficult one. My hair is getting a bit thinner and I looked at all the tablets at Boots but they`re just high levels of vitamins really.
I bought minoxidil in the States (cheaper) but I`m not sure it worked. It`s worth a try and you have to keep it up. I think it takes about 3 months to work.
237SJ....oooops! Minoxidil.

They also say Omega 3 1,000 mgms daily is helpful.
Are you on the pill? I know it can help with pain in PCOS. Some types of contraceptive pill can make hair loss worse. They don't cause it so much as add to a previously existing problem. I would definitely talk to your doctor about the whole situation.

thanks all, i'll look into the minoxidal...

ive always lost a bit more hair than your average person, but seems its getting more noticable now...

i am sort of on the pill...i am rubbish at taking it - im now on brevinor...i used to be on dianette for too much hair but it didnt agree with me so swapped afew months ago
is there any notes that brevinor is known for this do you know?

i also take multi fish oils, omega etc for my back
i take kelp too, which is supposed to be good for hair...but keep forgetting...
have you had your thyroid checked?
Remembering to take the things is always best, LOL - I have a natty medication box which I got from my local chemist, I fill it up each week with my pills and vitamins etc - at least you can see then if you forget a day. You do need to take these things every day to get some benefit!

i did get my thyroid checked a few years ago but it was ok...but i have heard the tests can give a false negative for various reasons so are not that accurate...
i think i wil go again - as i do have other symptoms that fit too

lol boxtops - i know i had one of those dated bpx things...dont even know where it is now haha

i do remember using little baggies to make up the daily doses once...but found the pills reacted together and spoiled...went mushy etc

i now have reminders on my phone...but still forget ...doh!
