Good Patio Cleaning Solution

Can anyone recommend a patio cleaning solution please? I picked one up in Aldi a while ago but it hasn`t made a lot of difference. I seem to remember my neighbour saying she cleaned her path with biological washing powder but I might be wrong. I don`t want to use Jeyes fluid either as it reminds me of public toilets. Ta.

I just chuck down a couple of big bottles of thick bleach, scrub it in with the garden broom and leave it to dry.

I use a bit of Flash in a bucket of water, chuck it on the patio, leave it for about 2 or minutes, then scrub it well with a stiff broom. Rinse off with clean water from a hose or a watering can. I've tried one or two branded patio cleaners, but they didn't seem to be any better than Flash in a bucket of water.

I go down the bio washing powder route as it is kinder to the surrounding flower beds. Make up a solution in a bucket, chuck it on and then broom or pressure washer the area.

We always scrub with bleach too

Theres two ways...the easy way, or the hard way already mentioned, scrub it...easy way is go and hire a pressure washer like a karcher for a day or half day, some places do a half day deal, no detergent needed and it is a breeze.

I bought a karcher some years ago and its paid for itself in time saved many times over

Thanks. Some good ideas. I can`t use a pressure washer as there is no outside tap. I might try the bleach and/or washing powder. Thanks again.

I do same as Divegirl - but buy Domestos - best of the lot - you may need loads of them - also mix them washing powder - throw round your patio - wet every area - and leave to dry- they come up snowwhite next day. Do it on a "dry" day tho.
