Bearing in mind the reports about the police allegedly snooping on the Lawrence family, it wouldn't surprise me if those people involved in the Jimmy Saville scandal were trying dig up anything they can find about their accusers. You would think these cases would have come to court by now bearing in mind that as far as we know there are only a few people making these accusations. What do the people think?

I think it's a bit far fetched to say the least. It's one thing for the defence to build a case for their client and to challenge the reliability of the accuser/witness; it's quite another to smear them.

Snooping with geo-phones and ground penetrating radar ?

The thing about historic allegations against dead people is that they arent around to defend it (themselves)

so I think it is extremely unlikely.....

The idea of falsely claiming one has been abused historically by someone who is now dead, is as disgraceful as claiming to have been involved in the WTC bombing when one hasnt. I cannot conceive it - surely it cant (have) happened ?

We have been told on various occasions that more people will be questioned, perhaps charged. Famous people. But so far we have heard nothing.

Why would we hear anything? We are not in general privy to police investigations in to child abuse.

First port of call if you are defending, but, unlike Perry Mason, defence lawyers here don't often have a private eye to get it and are reliant upon what the prosecution give them .
