Electric Kettle
12 Answers
I'm looking for a cordless electric kettle. Most of those I see advertised refer to 'boil dry protection' that automatically switches off when the kettle is empty. What I'm looking for is the kind that will switch of when it has boiled, not only when it is empty - one that has a kind of baffle that enables the steam to build up pressure to switch it off. Can anyone help please?

Bloody 'ell! You must be rich!!!
A fiver in Asda is good enough for me:

(And yes, Coldicote, it's cordless and it does switch off when boiled - as do all modern electric kettles)

Re: the Asda kettle mentioned above. Yes, it's only a fiver but I'd spend a bit more and get 3000W rather than 2000W . Also, it has to be placed on the base EXACTLY in the correct position rather than just plonked on any old way, because it has a shaped (rather than circular) base.
Lidl has inexpensive kettles meeting my strict requirements above (!!) and a three-year warranty.
I have three - in different locations- all trouble-free.
