I see that the US has redefined the situation - the good old WAR ON TERROR has become the LONG WAR.

Does this mean that the US has finally realised that their home made attacks on 9/11, the quick thrust into Afganistan and then taking over Iraq with the aim of getting their hands on a middle east OIL reserve has not worked out as they planned and they have got stuck into something which has no easy way out ??

Hi soapbox, if you mean the makers of US policy (and I don't mean the government) then I am sure that they are aware today what they have got themselves into, if you mean the American people that is a different thing completely, I think that they are mostly still not aware of the world situation which is developing around them.
After all it is obvious to anyone who looks in depth at the evidence that the 9/11 attacks on the world trade centres and the pentagon were internal acts committed by people within the american military and administration but very few people in the US will even think about, If they dont know what is happening in the US they sure wont know what is happening abroad.

Hi Newtron, don't take it personally I have nothing against the US but until recently I also had accepted the ''standard'' story of 9/11, recently somebody on AB made a comment and I started to look around and read and find video clips etc....

Now, when I started researching this I had never questioned the attack scenario and did not believe the stuff I saw but I am an engineer and when I re-looked at all the things which happened with an open mind and started to put it all together it is so clear that for instance the WTC towers did not fall down from just a plane crash, they were originally designed to withstand a fully loaded 707-200 crashing into them!!! They fell down at almost free fall speed as if the floors below just vanished and no longer supported the top floors and broke into pieces which were just the right size to fit on trucks!!! and anyway steel frame buildings bend and twist they don't break in pieces.
Anyway give me a some time and I will put a list of places for you to look at.

I think there are many questions to be answered regarding the events of 9/11 qapmoc, but using propaganda from anti Jewish sites like www.public-action.com is not going to help convince moderate and concerned individuals in the western world of a US conspiracy in this matter.

Hi Drusilla, well I did put that one at the bottom of the list, but hey you have got to start somewhere - The main point is that the attacks where not carried out by just simple terrorist's with box cutters, I mean look at the attack on the pentagon, even the simple official story is odd, flight 77 approaches the pentagon from a direction which would hit directly on Rumsfelds office and which would have killed thousands of people but then it flys around to the other side and hits the part of the building which was almost empty and had just been refurbished including extra blast protection and toughened walls, The plane flys at full speed over buildings etc... and then drops down to 30 feet and hits the side of the building without touching the grass and without damage to the roof edges, this without any landing aids of any kind and included that the flight software would try to resist the manouvers (any pilots here want to comment) and makes only a small hole, no large parts or quantity of wreckage was found and the official line is the plane disintegrated on impact, then how did it blow a in line hole through all three rings of the pentagon and leave an exit hole in the inner ring?

Hi qapmoc, just out of interest, are there any reports or photos of the plane that crashed into The Pentagon en route to its target?
There are plenty of pictures showing the attacks in New York, but did no one look up and say, 'Ooh! That's a bit low,' in Washington DC?

Thats an interesting question Drusilla, in fact there appear to be no pictures of any kind anywhere which show the ''aircraft'' which supposedly hit the pentagon, there was a gas station just outside the pentagon with a video camera pointed directly at the strike site and a hotel further away also had a video camera looking in that direction but funnily enough the FBI confiscated both tapes and they have never been seen again, the pentagon actually released 5 frames from the only camera at the pentagon which was looking at the crash site and it shows the hit/fireball but not the actual aircraft, many experts say the fireball does not look like a jet fuel fire but does look like an explosive detonation.

Hi qapmoc, Thanks for the links. I have not read them all yet as I am very busy. Interestingly, I know Van Romero who provides the first quote on your first link. I went to school at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (NMIMT), and I must say NMIMT is well respected for their research in the field of explosives science.
