I am a 60 year old female whose periods finished about 2 years ago. I still seem to get really irritable every 4 weeks or so - just like I did when I had periods - is this unusual? Also still getting very hot at night ??

The periods are only one part of the menopause - go see your doc. A short period on HRT can do wonders (it did for me).
Yes, that happens to me, I was just thinking about post a similar question.
I haven't had any periods for 4 years but still get what feels like PMT.
yes i got moodswings too but they have subsided. I did try HRT but it made me like Kevin Patterson's dangerous big sister so I stopped them before I attacked somebody (seriously) and oh yes the hot flushes and night sweats...absolutely normal I am sorry to say.

oh great news!! and I thought the end of the periods was it - obviously not! Mother nature has got a lot to answer for! Thanks all.
Poor you. I'm 52 and over the worst thankfully. I'd try some herbal remedies to calm your irritability and make sure you have a magnesium supplement.
