It was, I suppose, Sqad -- but it wasn't really due to lack of quality -- both played some cracking shots through the match. Lisicki just mentally wasn't there today.

I agree Jim, but i would have liked a few more "cracking shots" than that in a Grand Stand Final.

Well, well, well. Not what I expected but congratulations to Marion Bartoli. She seemed very determined from the start, totally ready. The experience of losing a one final before could have helped her conquer any nerves. She didn't show any though. New champion.

I think Bartoli is a lovely woman, she's certainly the first I can remember being booed by the crowd during a match..........nasty spectators!!

Craft, some things we neither need nor want to know. If you cannot be gracious at least don't be ungracious. There are already enough unpleasant things in life without adding to them.

It's not Bartoli's fault who she had to play,she can only beat who is put in front of her.
