The track is located in a quiet, semi-rural, area to the south of Belfast. Given the price of scrap metal now how long before a replacement is needed?

Dizmouk. What has gone before has gone. Leave it in the past. You seem he'll bent on ruining your future. A punch up on a door step is not going to end well. You are an adult and responsible for your own future. If despite advice from your mother, step dad and folks on here you go ahead with your plan, do not expect any sympathy when it backfires on you.

I agree, Psybbo.
But leaving large lumps of bronze in quiet locations is asking for trouble.

Ireland has a long history of moving statues but they're usually of the religious type. If this one moves, and I'm sure it will, it will be the first ever verifiable one.
that it was moved on the back of a lorry needn't be mentioned
Bronze is a little insulting as she was a gold medallist perhaps marble would be better.....
I realise that (in NI particularly) this might be a little controversial - but how about fitting a small explosive device in the plinth which would cover anybody who tries to 'borrow' the statue with something indelible and unpleasant?
Question Author
We've all heard of weeping statues, and there's one in Belgium that wees on people, but one that throws ordure over potential thieves would be a first. Good idea, Dave
