Could I please have some of your recipies of your own homemade Florida Salad. Must be very low calorie. Thanks.

hi wendilla. I would look at the shop bought product then do a 'post mortem' on the main ingredients which will probably be the lower calories, then substitute the mayo dressing with one made from 50% low fat creme fraiche and 50% extra light mayo, + squeeze of lemon juice. I'd never even heard of Florida Salad, so I can't help directly. (Sorry!)
However this recipe has been contributed by a member of the Food.com website, tagged as 'Low calorie' and well-reviewed by another member (who also suggests some possible changes). So perhaps it's worth a look?

I have a feeling the shop bought Florida salad has canned pineapple and cherries? make sure any canned fruit you use is in fruit juice not syrup which would hike up the calories.
