Illustrator CS2 - Not Enough Memory
6 Answers
Every time I try to open a document or create a new document in Illustrator CS2, all I get is a message saying
"Not enough memory to open the illustration"
I've tried using task manager to shut off all unnecessary processes but it doesn't seem to work.
I'm running Windows XP Home edition with administration rights and nobody else logged on.
It worked fine until recently, I used system restore which worked but the next time I tried to use it it came up with the same message. I can't keep using system restore all the time.
Any suggestions?

To find out click start , control panel, system ,(using classic view) then you will find out if it's anything less than 512mb than consider upgrading. it's really easy if you use a company such as crucial they will recomend and guarentee all of the memory components they supply. My pc was running slow i upped my ram to 1.5gb to probs at all. Any more questions just ask me!!
Yeah There are a few types of ram, If you go to Crucial Uk's website there should be a tool there that will analyse your computer, or if you know the make and model, allow you type that in, and then they recommend and guarentee the memory you need. it may cost a little more but it is really important that you buy it from a descent company, don't be tempted by cheap memory, from e-bay or anywhere else as it's a false economy. hope that helps!! need help!!! hey just ask!
