If so then you are not in with a chance - £200,000 for a beach hut not far from here http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/10536063.Yours_for___200k__the_Mudeford_beach_hut_that_s_no_bigger_than_a_garden_shed/ (it's just been on the local news again so i thought i'd post it here).

Confirmation that there must be a lot of people with far more money than sense.

no, and even if i didn't i wouldn't waste it on a shed on a beach. the exception being if it had all mod cons, was situated in the Caribbean, and came with endless supplies of drinks with umbrellas
I can think of better things to spend the money on.
I don't like Bournemouth......
Indeed, you can have our house for that, a short stroll to the beach, like that avatar

This is that area of Mudeford http://oi44.tinypic.com/2mi2vra.jpg - the specific beach hit would be at the end of that row disappearing off at the rhs near the top - hardly an exotic location.
years ago when my kids were small we owned a caravan at Reculver and they liked to go to the beach at Birchington, well it was well known that Peter Cushing owned a beach hut there and like everyone else we could not resist giving a blood curdling scream as we passed by.
You get a tap nearby as part of the £65,000 at the one I have shown!! But no other facilities.

ooooh, it's got a lockable door!
Wow, but you can't stay overnight.

It's only 12 miles from us!! Perhaps I will put in an offer.
I can tell you it's a long walk to the toilet block down that path that apparently makes it quite easy to get there!!
Question Author
i won't ask how or why you know that...
That's a poor investment.
Question Author
A poor investment? The current owners bought it for £57,000 10 years ago so when they do sell it for the amount that they ask (as they will) then their investment will have made 13% per year for each of those 10 years.
shows you the craziness of our property market.
