lol, never thought of it that way, all I know is when I'm looking for a specific sport, expecting it to be on 1 for example only for it to be on 4 (again, example)
is just weird.
The SuperLeague Netball is always shown on SkySports4, while SkySports1 is showing some obscure midweek football match between two foreign teams whom nobody has heard of.
Lacrosse? Baggataway? You mean that game that's only played here by girls at posh boarding schools ? I miss the fancy billiards, billard, but that isn't seen here either.Perhaps we should have a channel devoted to sports that almost nobody here plays :)
Yes, jno, and what about polo? The only people who play that are the types that went to posh public schools, and rich Argentines. A constituency consisting of my family and its ilk; daughter played lacrosse at school, polo at the Royal Agricultural College; would be vanishingly small, though you'd get a really pseudy class of advertising for it, all for grossly overpriced tat, plus some for horse nuts!
A day out at the Polo is brilliant. We go to Windsor Great Park. You get a complete cross section of people going to watch, and have a picnic (okay, maybe not many of Jeremy Kyle's studio guests).
There is a commentator, who tells the spectators what is going on, so it doesn't matter if you don't know the rules.
