The above are mostly American websites and you will have to convert needle sizes and yarn weights.
The best site here in the U.K for buying patterns and yarn is

P.s.
Just a tip ....some of the patterns on the American sites are lovely,.but..they seem to knit nearly everything on circular needles or the four needle method.

I agree with Shaneystar about CPU Enterprises. They trade as Dianne's Knitting Yarns - the delivery is very quick and they offer an excellent service. I've ordered from them many times.

Also, if you look at their specials they often have bulk packs of discontinued colours or yarns at very cheap prices, which is great if you knit a lot.

I quite agree ursula ..I use them a lot and have never been disappointed. They have a lovely selection and all the new fashion yarns too!
