Advert on tv just now for these sausages, why? Just cook your own and freeze them, best when they are on b o g o f offer too.

...er...so you don't have to cook them...

you can cook anything and then freeze it - you still have to do the cooking first

The point is that you cook a whole batch in one go saving on gas/electric and using one grillpan or whatever you use to cook them, so saving on washing up. Maybe I didn't make my point clear enough, I'm sure there are others out there who do the same as me.

i understand and do it myself sometimes - i just meant the point of them is that you can have them immediately, no cooking, just ready in an instant, purely convenience food.

Sorry joko, was having a senior moment, didn't get my meaning very clear. I have all the time in the world to cook in batches and realise that not eveyone is like me, plus there are only the two of us so instead of cooking maybe 3 sausages each I cook a couple of packs and freeze the rest. I do it with a lot of different foods ie mashed potato (since seeing it in the supermarket freezer section), bacon, pastry etc. I'm not a goody, goody wifey in fact I am very lazy, so if I have to do it I will make extra for next time. The more time spent in the kitchen is less time for the answerbank. XXX :-)
