What laptop shall I buy?

I have limited needs: championship manager (geek, I know), high-speed internet and occasional work (but nothing more advanced than word, excel, powerpoint). What specs should I look for/concentrate on? I know nothing so any advice appreciated.

You must not follow the sheep and buy a Dell (American company) that also support and customer service call centres in ( India) and provides no or very little economic good for Britain. The laptops are even imported from (Ireland). Buy British that's what I say or soon we will all be doomed.

Look at Acer laptops, or buy any computer magazine (the cost of the magazine might save you some money).
