You buy the watermelon.

You cut it with your biggest knife.

You eat a slice.

It's refreshing.

You love it.

You wrap it in cling film and put it in the fridge.

Eventually you throw the rest of it away.

Then you go out.

You see a watermelon.

You buy the watermelon

Etc ...

I'm sure I only ever eat about one tenth of all the watermelons I buy.

After the "you love it", mush up the rest with a little vodka/gin and put in a container in the freezer. Viola - fresh alcoholic watermelon.
