Dont know if this comes under this section but hey its a food topic. My mate is a teacher and need to dress up as a piece of food but she also needs to be able to sit down and hasnt got much time to make costume. Any suggestions??

On the same theme I have seen green tights, purple tshirt and cover yourself in purple balloons (buy a hundred off the internet)

Thats a great idea silversky but unfortunately she teaches infants and the joke would be wasted on them.

tell her to dress up like a hooker and carry a microphone - a pop tart! badum-ching!

seriously, how about a grass skirt, with an orange cone hat and an orange 'cone' top = a carrot.

or head to foot in tin foil = a cooked chicken (or whatever) lol

glue or thread a load of string through some clothes, and then wear a red blobby hat (just loads of sponge, paper, junk etc painted red will do) = spaghetti and sauce

attatch plastic plates and cutlery and gingham cloth and items of food, apples etc, to some clothes - perhaps a string vest to weave stuff through = and be a picnic.

i would suggest a fancy dress hire shop if she hasn't got much time - they are bound to have something.

head to toe in green but a yellow bobbly top (jumper or slightly blown up balloons). Corn on the cob!

head to toe in yellow - a banana (she can bend in the middle to demonstrate the shape)

papier mache if she has tiime - to make a potato/apple/pear

top to toe in brown to be a sausage (like the banana)

chicken hire costume! ok I'm getting short on ideas now!

Well to let you all know she went as a 99. brown card around her waste. a white jumper and a flake in her hair :-)
