Care Homes, (Respite)
2 Answers
My sister's husband is 70 years old and is virtually bedridden. My sister has managed to look after him, but, being 65 years old and depending on walking sticks herself, she is finding it increasingly difficult and, quite frankly, needs a break.
She has a chance of a weeks holiday with a friend but is reluctant to leave him without knowing he is in good hands.
Can anyone suggest a care home, (in the South Wales area), where she could send him, (he is willing to go), so that she could enjoy her break with peace of mind. (obviously willing to pay).
many thanks.

They should make her welcome and show her around. It does sound more as though he needs Nursing Care rather than residential and I'm not entirely sure if Nursing homes do respite. But certainly worth speaking to some to find out. She may not have to pay, either.
