What an absolutely ridiculous story. There is NO WAY a small bookie like that wouldn't lay off that bet. At the very least they'd have laid off a double after the first 2had won. I know it's not real, but at least get it right!

Wont all bookies belong to some sort of group like ABTA that guarantees your hols if the travel agent goes out of business? The bookie cannot just refuse to pay out. Would Rob have to sue in court and lose the money in the process?

I don't watch Corrie, so don't know the storyline, but I believe there is no legal requirement for bookies to pay out.
