Credit Note?
9 Answers
I'm not sure where to put this but as its a general question I'll try it.
I bought a two piece outfit 2 days ago as a possible outfit for a wedding. I wasn't too sure if it was what I really wanted but my husband and 2 store assistants, who had no other customers to be dealing with, were all telling me looked it lovely etc etc.....so I payed for it thinking I would be able to make a better decision trying it on at home in private.
I did just that yesterday. It didn't take 10 seconds to decided it was totally not something I would wear.
My husband returned it for me yesterday [ I don't get about too well]to be told its not company policy to do a cash refund I would have to have a credit note! The assistant assured my husband I had been told that the day before when I was paying for it. I definitely wasn't as I wouldn't have risked that amount of money
Now I am left with a hefty credit note, for a shop I would never on principle use again.
Does anyone know if this company were right to take this attitude and keep my money please.

But that is an extra service, not a right, though because they state it on their reciept and on pos in store they have to abide by the policy.
If you have accepted the credit note it may be too late to ask again, but maybe if you had returned yourself you would have used better shopping skills than your husband and been able to negotiate better, so on the plus side, you can blame him. : )
