Problems With Lap Top

had probs with google chrome so uninstalled it kept crashing etc are there any programs that could check if there is an embedded problem . running windows 7 with AVG securities

Have a look in Programs and Settings and see if there is anything unusual there.
It doesn't sound like a virus infection to me but set AVG to do a boot time scan.
Also run Malwarebytes: http://
(Uncheck the "run free trial" box at the end of the installation)
