Years ago, we used to get lots of things free, from toys in our cereal packets to free samples of washing powder with vouchers put in our doors.
When was the last time you had something free, and was it any good?
Are you still using something that was given to you free years ago?

Life. It's ok most of the time. And much much better than the alternative.
Tonight. I got a free bottle of Prosecco at Pizza Express for my birthday. It was £20 on the menu so yes, it was good. You just have to sign up to their emails and they give you the voucher for the Prosecco for your birthday.
Mostly pens that come in envelopes and ones that I got from the Ideal Home Show.
Had a free carafe of wine two nights ago, purely because I told the owner of the restaurant his food was blinkin delicious. Still suffering now!

Some of the ads on tv offer free samples by visiting their website. I've had panty liners, Anti Wrinkle cream, Kitten food and several more.
Fed up of getting free cards from charities to whom I make monthly contributions. They are asking for more. I give what I can afford. They keep telling me what an extra £20 can do. If I have not got it they can't have it.
Really annoying isn't it Daisy, some of them are just too greedy.
Couple of years ago my friend who is blind and in a wheelchair wanted to raise some money for a charity that had helped his cousin,
I helped and at the end sent the money off, I recieved a reciept for the money ( which was a very substantial amount ) and a letter asking if I would like to make another donation please!!!! the nerve, it went straight in the bin. X

Two boxes of tea bags on Sunday and I won a television but it went off to uni...x
Some charities really annoy me. I rang to donate a monthly fee to a certain charity, the ad asked for £2 a month, I offered £5. The person on the end of the phone said "Is that all". I said "I've changed my mind goodbye".
I do a lot of online surveys and some are product related, they then send the product and you evaluate it - dishwasher tabs/Fabric Conditioner/Air fresheners/Beauty products etc
Free cups of tea or coffee, one every day, in Waitrose, just by joining their loyalty club. The pot of tea is enough for two.

You get a lot of beauty samples and gifts usually with women's magazines like Marie Claire and Red, I have actually gone on to use products that I first tried this way so they are effective advertising.
