who is the man on the lastminute.com advert ? The man with one arm, lots of passports, lots of kids, grand kids and great grand kids and a huge house and wads of cash ? Is he John Quentin, I cant find any photos of him.

I find the advert really quite moving. Is he just playing a character who has/has done all these things, is he talking about himself and his real-life experiences or (as someone on here has suggested), is a clever scriptwriter referring to the parts he has played during his life?

It's John Quentin - great english actor who often plays aristocratic characters.

He was in 'Longitude' -
and years ago played Bertie Wooster in a series of sherry adverts.

I don't know if he has really lost an arm or it's a clever effect.

It IS a fabulous advert - it really epitomises the poem

now or never -
which do you?'
