Ignoring the rather silly row regarding the lack of a female monarch for a number of years, and now the lack of a female, (apart from the Queen), on our banknotes, so as to equal things up a little, who would you wish to see on our bank notes?

A famous male and a famous female on each of these bank notes, £5, £10, £20, £50, these famous people have to have lived in the 20th and 21st century.

Oh dear, I didn't realise that :o(
I am really pleased that Jane Austin has been chosen :o)))
Too much of a risk - put someone living on a bank note and you've no idea how they'll turn out.

Can you imagine some in the 70's saying - hey let's put Jimmy Saville on the new fiver!
the Queen is on the banknote, and she is very much alive.
Emmeline Pankhurst ran as a Tory candidate in elections. Christabel promoted Seventh Day Adventism. I'd much sooner see Sylvia on the money.

For all I care Jack the Ripper, Myra Hindley, Fred West and Harold Shipman could all be staring at me from my wallet as long as the notes are legal tender
