A family member has recently been placed in a psychiatric hospital following increasing episodes of disturbing behaviour. After studying lots of medical pages online, the only diagnosis that looks 100% correct is Paranoid Personality Disorder. I am in no way shape or form qualified to make this diagnosis, but he displays every sympton described. Has anybody here experienced P.P.D. first hand? I have heard that the outcomes are not very possitive.

Always risky to read the medical books and make an unqualified diagnosis.
But there are folk who pop in here who would be able to ask relevant questions and let you know what they think.

Old Geezer: Thank you
What was the diagnosis that got her into the hospital? Or is she there for a diagnosis?
I do agree with og, almost impossible to make this kind of diagnosis without the right medical training, seeing her behaviour and speaking to her. If you can give as many examples of behaviour as possible, plus the names of medications she is on, people may be able to give you some suggestions of what the doctors are looking at. But it won't be definitive.

He's there for diagnosis.
He. I'm sorry. I have known three people who have been diagnosed with Paranoia, through my work. Can you give any examples of behaviour or medication names?

I would prefer not to go into detail in open space if that's ok. My email is [email protected] if you can help in any way. Thanks.
Of course that's ok. Will email you later
