It starts showing earth then our planets.... and beyond.

Also, while we're on the subject anyone know how to explain the Universe and beyond to an idiot lol

There are dozens (or, more likely, hundreds) of animations which seek to give viewers an idea of the scale of the universe. This one is really good at looking at the sizes of individual stars but it fails to deal with the massive distances between them:
