Lost Cat

I have 2 kittens living in garden-their mother abandoned them last year-they are 14months old. I feed them but they don't stay inside just play round garden.I had the female spaded a few months ago she is fine now .Tuesday 23/07/2013 I took the male to be neutered everything was fine. On the way back from the vets the cat managed to escape the carrier and run off.Everyday since we have been searching the area for him ,put posters up .I had a phone call that he had been seen 26/07 and that she would keep an eye for him.I am concerned that he may never come back we are missing him so is his sister. Will he forget us or is there anything else we can do. I would be grateful for any advice.tia

How far away from home did you lose him?

about 1mile but I don't think he had ventured that far-so he may not know his direction back.i have notified cats protection,rspca and animal search uk.he is still missing we are missing him and so is his sister.thanks for replying

Ahhh, I hope he comes home soon. You'd be amazed at what they can manage when they have to. I know you said he lived outside but do you have any pictures of him? You need to get posters out in the area you lost him.
