Hi All
I have been motoring for almost 50 years without an accident therefore i had maximum no claims, but in 2009 i was ill and had to have a mobility car with insurance included, my question is if i gave up the mobility car and bought my own car again i would have to start with zero no claims again but would my years with motorbility count towards my no claims.a difficult one i know but would be interested to your replies, thanks

This did crop up this year when my daughters BF wanted to buy a car after being his dad's carer and driver of his dad's mobility car for 8 years, Direct Choice told him that they do not recognise mobility insurance policies for qualifying years of no claims discount. I asked again on his behlaf as i thought it sounded wrong but the direct choice confirned their policy and went as far as saying that it was the usual case with most insurers.
