Last Minute Themed Wedding Panic!

Help!!
I have been invited to a wedding and have (on closer inspection of the invitation) found out that it has a medieval theme and if I don't appear in 'medieval attire' I will be put in the pillory!
Seriously though - it is on Saturday and I need some ideas about what to do for a medieval themed outfit - I've tried looking for fancy dress hire places near where I live (just outside SW London) and there doesn't seem to be much.
So .........??

Ideally I'd like to go as a merry troubadour, but where am I going to get myself garbed up as one of those in an afternoon and a bit of a morning?!
...Brave Sir Robin ran away, he bravely ran away away. When danger reared its ugly head he bravely turned his tail and fled...brave Sir Robin turned about and gallantly he chickened out...bravely taking to his feet he bravely beat a brave retreat...
