Actually this is not the best one - they hit speeds of over 175 near Camborne....

A motorbike is not something that has ever appealed to me, even as a young man. No belt, airbags(though some have now been developed), side impact bars etc means you're always going to come off worst, whether you're at fault or not.

As a result of seeing too many traumatic injuries to motorcyclists (quite a few of whom were not from the area but came to check out the 'challenging' nature of our roads) my son thankfully has no interest whatsoever in them either.
I intend to keep it that way.

That's sickening but I don't think it's just young bikers. I see motorbikes weaving in and out and overtaking dangerously every day. I suppose the thrill of the power takes over whatever their age.

I rode a bike too, Seadogg.....no helmet...too many funerals but like you, I was immortal and it didn't stop me seeing how fast I could go on the old Kettering/Corby road......

Thankfully me and my brother had off road bikes from the age of 10 so by the time we were 16 we wasn't interested in getting a road bike unlike a few of our mates, and some of those ended up like matey on that video
