First thing this morning one of my dogs didn't look herself at all having been fine last night so we took her to the vet who said she had an elevated temperature and her heart rate was abnormally quick, so we left her there to undergo tests etc and be treated as needed. Had a call to say that she died. Just picked her up and the vet said she went into shock, he had no idea what caused it or why. He could do a post mortem but it won't bring her back so we brought her home and my brothers are burying her in the garden. So upset I can't speak.
Brilliant people on this site- the poems had me crying my eyes out which has done me good.lol. I don't cry very often. Thank you everyone, it's lovely to know how many of you loved your animals as much as I love mine xxx
Oh Shari thats so sad, the same thing happened to me about a month ago. i know how you feel, I was so distraught, but all the wonderful people on here were fantastic in picking me up, my heart goes out to you. X X
So sorry for your sudden loss. I lost my German Shepherd in May and still devastated by it , He was a huge dog with a huge personality and I miss him so much xx
So sorry for your loss of your beautiful girl. It's always heartbreaking to lose a family pet but the suddenness of this is so shocking for you all.
At least she has come home.
Grieve, cry, rant and then one day the pain will lessen and you will remember with a smile x
Spent a lot of time yesterday down the end of the garden making the apce somewhere nice people can go and just relax, looks really pretty now. Many thanks for all your kindness and wisdom, I do feel a bit better today, I was surprised how much it affected me and it's made me think about a few bigger things too which has to be good:) thank you all. xx
I've only just seen this. My heart goes out to you-its bad enough when we are prepared for a pets loss. But to have them go suddenly has to be unbearable. Keep all your happy memories of her - she will always be by your side.
