Hi WyeDyed, thanks for answering.
Ok, so when I'm on my homepage and need a new tab I click on the new tab box and it opens but with choices of web sites I've been to lately.
What I want it to do is open at my google homepage every time.
There was a way to do it in XP but I cant remember what it was or even if the same process will work.
Hope that makes sense!

ILA.... The suggestion from dr b and myself is still Not ideal for what you require. There must be an answer somewhere.
In fact, a short while back, I downloaded the 'addon' and have now deleted it. There was Not any difference to what I already have when opening a new tab....A page of recently visited sites, along with a Google search box which enlarges when clicked.

3. Click OK and close the about:config tab.
